In the following month, EDEUM delivered a lecture titled “The Concept and Major Issues of Indemnity Health Insurance(a reimbursement-based private health plan for uncovered medical expenses in Korea)” to medical device manufacturers and distributors. Indemnity health insurance is a private insurance product that may provide reimbursement for medical expenses not covered by the National Health Insurance, and it is a critical factor influencing healthcare companies' product utilization and market access.

The lecture explained the differences between indemnity insurance and public health insurance, outlined the evolution of indemnity plans, coverage details, and key regulatory and policy issues related to this type of insurance.

Through this lecture, healthcare companies were able to gain a clear understanding of the concept of indemnity health insurance and the major issues surrounding it.
